What is High Blood Pressure?
Above average bloodpressure is rise within pressure enforced by moving blood on the current artery walls as a general response to strain & normal movement. If you are undergoing through hypertension regularly then it will get your heart and arteries weak. It may cause heart attacks and strokes.
Blood Pressure Measurement
Your blood pressure is taken in two values, the systolic, where blood impose pressure when it enters into aorta from the heart and the second is diastolic, where blood exert prssure when the heart ventricles take rest between beats. Millimeters of mercury (mm Hg) is the checking unit of blood pressure.
Above normal Blood Pressure could be defined in an adult as the bloodpressure above or equal to 140 mm Hg systolic pressure, or higher or equable to 90 mm Hg diastolic pressure. Reading of blood pressure greater than 140/90 is not normal & shows hypertension.
